Lovely efficient check in. Buffet breakfast was amazing. Pool area was small and bar was closed but looks like a good vibe there. Bathroom was the most disappointing, grout had dark mould-like stains and just a bit tired, clean but due to age just looked a bit 'meh'. Wasn't the nicest Mercure I have stayed in but good value for location, even if a little underwhelming.

When I got to my room, when I sat down on the chair there was chocolate spread, right across the table and coffee stains on the coffee servery. I rang the hotel and room service quickly came and remedied and disinfected it. The bathroom floor was also rather dirty with hair all over it, but we didn't realise until late at night. I feel the hotel did their best to remedy, something that had been obviously missed in error.
We ate in the hotel and the meal was delightful and the serve staff attentive and on to it. Recommend this hotel as I feel our room issue was just an oversight on that day.
It was a bed to sleep in. As for the cleanliness it was lacking, mould in the bathroom, bathroom windows look like the have efflorescence growing on them. The hall, elevator and any carpeted area smelt very musky/damp. The hotel foyer is the only place in the hotel that looks nice. Sorry guys but the quality (especially for the price) is not there. Fantastic location & staff that take care of their guests and aim to please and provide an enjoyable stay. We were lucky enough to get a great package deal for a birthday weekend away & were so pleased with the staff willing to accommodate our requests. We had our two little ones with us and they allowed us to have some extended time using the pool after check out in order to keep them entertained for a bit longer before we had to depart.
